Meet Cheesecake (black) & Pudding (gray & white)! These 3 month old brothers are ready for their happy forever! They were found alone on the streets in NYC, very skinny and missing lots of fur. They came to us around 1 pound and have since thrived into healthy perfect kittens!

They love to chase each other around and play with their toys. They also have loud beautiful purrs. they LOVE to be pet once they realize you’re cool.

These boys are perfect all around kittens. They love to eat, play, snuggle, and sleep it off just to repeat it all again.

They are FeLV/FIV/HW negative, have received their first vaccines and are scheduled for neuter once they are of age.

FOSTER HOME NEEDED for one ridiculously cute little family! Mama and her 4 ~6 week old babies. Babies are still nursing but also eating wet food and are already using the litter box!

This sweet mama and her four fluffy babies were found living outside in East Hartford. They’re safe with us now in our temporary space, but these babies are growing fast and deserve a real home environment where they can run, play, explore, and develop into the tiny troublemakers they’re destined to be.

Everyone is friendly, Mama is an absolute LOVE, and the babies are SO. FLUFFY. Seriously, look at them.

We provide all veterinary care and supplies — you provide the safe space and love.

Sundae has already fought so hard. Now we need your help making sure her heart is strong enough for her next chapter.

For those of you who are new here after following Ethel’s story, welcome! We’d love to introduce you to another very special girl.

Sundae came to us very pregnant and critically ill. She spent three days hospitalized, and our priority was simply saving her life. Somehow, this incredible girl not only recovered like a champion, but all four of her babies survived too.

Sundae has been perfectly caring for her babies and now it’s time for us to take care of her

We knew when we took Sundae in that she had a significant heart murmur. Once her babies are 6 weeks old, she needs to see a cardiologist and have an echocardiogram before she can safely be put under anesthesia to be spayed.

The cardiology consult is $310 and the echo is $800, for a total of $1,110 that we need to raise by 9/29.

And we have amazing news: a very generous supporter (@music_is_my_oxygen999) has offered to match every donation dollar for dollar, up to $1,000.

That means $10 becomes $20. $25 becomes $50. $50 becomes $100. $1,000 becomes $2,000!

Sundae survived being critically ill while pregnant. She kept four tiny babies alive. She raised them safely. And now she already has two applications from people hoping to give her a forever home.

Her happily-ever-after is waiting for her. We just need to make sure her heart is ready for it.

Emmy’s story almost ended before it really began.#
We took her in from the NYC ACC in the late stages of her pregnancy, hoping to give her a safe place to have her babies. Instead, Emmy suffered a uterine rupture. She lost her kittens and nearly lost her own life.
After time in the hospital, Emmy came home to her foster mom with a grim prognosis and needed close monitoring. But Emmy had other plans.
She shocked us all. She fought, she healed, and she THRIVED. 🥹❤️
And now, look at her.

Her adopters tell us:
“Emmy loves supervising activities, snuggles and finding things to climb on. She adores hanging out with her teenagers and finding all the good spots to nap. She loves a good play session of chasing toys and hide and seek.”

And when we asked how they feel about their girl, they said:
“We are so happy to have Emmy! She is a super snuggler. She’s a cute, mischievous girl! She gets her wants and needs known by telling you with meows, pawing you or sitting on you. Some of our favorite things about Emmy are her big eyes, her soft fur and her intense facial expressions. She is a buddy and confidant. We are so thrilled she’s part of our home!”

From a cat fighting for her life to a beloved family member who has teenagers to hang out with, toys to chase, places to climb, and laps to snuggle in.

ADOPTION ANNOUNCEMENT FOR PICKLES & OLIVE!

Pickles and Olive have officially found their forever home, and this one feels extra special.

These sisters came to us at just 6–7 weeks old. While their two siblings found their families almost immediately, Pickles and Olive had to wait. And wait. And wait some more.

They spent the next 2–3 months growing up together, waiting for the right person to finally see what we already knew: these girls are pretty darn special.

And then their dad saw their post… and fell completely in love. ❤️

Yesterday, Pickles and Olive got to go home TOGETHER with a very excited dad who is already absolutely smitten with his new girls.

We always hope every kitten finds a home quickly, but sometimes the ones who make us wait are the ones who end up exactly where they were meant to be.

Happy Adoption Day, sweet sisters. Your forever was worth the wait. ❤️

ADOPTION DAY FOR WILSON!

Wilson’s story is such a sweet one.

This tiny little guy came to us at just 7 weeks old. Then, at a fundraiser event, I showed Wilson’s future mom a photo of him… and she immediately knew she needed this kitten in her life.

Naturally, Wilson decided that being adorable wasn’t quite enough and needed to add a little “spice” to the adoption process. He came down with ringworm. Because apparently, “tiny adorable kitten” wasn’t already enough work. 😂

So Wilson spent the last few weeks battling the fungal beast, getting treated, and patiently waiting for his big homecoming. And after all that nonsense, he has officially been CLEARED to go home!

And the best part? Wilson is going home to a big brother who was ALSO adopted from Hermione’s Home!

We absolutely love when our rescue babies get to stay connected to the Hermione’s Home family. We have a feeling these two boys are going to cause A LOT of mischief together… and give their humans an even bigger amount of love.

Happy Adoption Day, Wilson! Go forth, tiny man. Cause trouble. Steal hearts. Give cuddles. And please, for the love of all things feline, leave the ringworm behind.

Does anyone remember the cat with the saddest eyes you’ve ever seen, cowered in the corner of a shelter’s cage? The same cat that was abandoned by the only family she ever knew we they decided to move and leave her behind? Peppa had lost all hope of loving again.. until she realized she was safe in her foster home.

Peppa is doing SO well. She is learning to trust again, with the help of temptations! Peppa has been in her foster home for many months now, and not one application has been for her. I figured I’d tell everyone a little bit more about this girl and what we’ve learned about her true personality!
Peppa loves male cats!
She loves to sit with the people she trusts and just watch.
She LOVES to be spoken to.
She loves temptation treats even more than that.
She really enjoys watching the birds outside her window.
She like human and cat company - even if she doesn’t like to be touched, YET.
We are so hopeful we can find a forever home for this sweet girl. A home who wants a friend and companion, but understands that Peppa doesn’t want to be pet and could take some time to warm up.

We've been so wrapped up in mama and kitten care, we haven't had the chance to introduce the most perfect kitten on the planet, Floyd!

Five month old Floyd wants to be friends with everyone and anyone. He does well with other cats, dogs, and kiddos! He loves to cuddle, purr, and play. Everyone is always looking for a single kitten.. here you go guys!! Whoever ends up with this boy is going to have their days filled with so much joy.

As you all know, our sweet Sundae gave birth to her little scoops on Monday morning! While everyone is doing well, kitten foster extraordinaire @alicia6397 is having to do supplemental bottle feeding until Sundae's milk fully comes in. It's believed that since she was so malnourished, she is taking a little longer than usual.

She is being fed around the clock and is thoroughly enjoying it! However, we are going through A LOT of food and could really use some help!

SHE DID IT! Sundae safely gave birth on her own to 4 little cutie pies early this morning. They are small but seem to be ok! Foster mom @alicia6397 will be watching them like a hawk to make sure they get the best care possible.

After 3 days in the hospital, Sundae is finally back home in foster care.

When she came to us, she was pregnant, painfully thin, and very sick. From the very beginning, we’ve been clear about one thing: our priority has always been Sundae. Healthy babies would be an incredible bonus, but they don’t have a chance if mom doesn’t. Saving her has always been the mission.

The incredible team at Central worked around the clock to stabilize her with hospitalization, IV fluids, bloodwork, ultrasounds, antibiotics, anti-nausea medication, and constant monitoring. We’re so grateful she’s now well enough to continue recovering in foster care.

Her final hospital bill was $3,004.58.

Because of all of you, we’ve raised about $2,100 so far. Thank you to every person who donated, shared, commented, or sent good thoughts. You made it possible for Sundae to get the care she desperately needed.

One thing many people don’t realize is that rescues like ours have to pay for emergency veterinary care up front. We can’t tell the hospital, “We’ll fundraise later.” If we don’t have enough money in our account when emergencies happen, our volunteers personally put the charges on their own credit cards so an animal never has to wait for lifesaving treatment. We do it because we refuse to let finances be the reason a cat doesn’t get a chance.

We’re still about $900 short on Sundae’s hospital bill, and every donation helps reimburse the volunteers who stepped up so she could receive immediate care.

I’ve attached the hospital invoice so everyone can see the extent of the treatment she received over the last three days.

Update on Mama Sundae & her little scoops:

Things got a bit more serious for our beautiful mama to be. After some concerning lab values, our veterinary team and I decided it’d be in Sundae & her little scoops best interest to be admitted to the hospital for around the clock supportive care.

She has been hospitalized since late last night, receiving IV fluids, IV antibiotics and IV anti nausea meds. She still has yet to eat or drink anything. The team will be considering a feeding tube if this doesn't change in the next 24 hours. While clinically she is still very touch and go.. she is now making biscuits and rolling around for the care team at the hospital. She is such a special girl that is proving to be SO strong.

As of now, at least a few of her babies have heartbeats. We are hoping to get Sundae strong enough to deliver these little ice cream scoops safely and be able to nurse them effectively. She still has an up hill climb, but we will continue to fight for her as long as possible.

I am uploading our current estimate in case anyone can help us out. We have received about $2,000 in donations for her in the past few days (which is INCREDIBLE!!!!), but as you can see, that doesn’t even cover half of her low end estimate.

The founder of Hermione's Home, Ashley Knapik, has been involved in cat rescue since 2014. After the loss of her beloved tortie, Hermione, she fostered and found homes for many cats with the support of various rescues. In 2021, in the midst of pursuing her MBA, Ashley decided it was time to make a bigger impact by opening her own foster-based rescue, in the name of her best friend, Hermione.
